Guys 😫 I hit my first deer last night. In retrospect the deer was suicidal or playing chicken cause it popped out of nowhere!!!
The right side is completely smashed. I know I hit my deductible (1000) and idk how I'm even going to pay for that
I don't remember how hard the impact was to warrant a hospital trip to check lo#2. SO was freaking out about it when he came home. I thought I was OK, but he said the tire skids show I almost went into a steep ditch, so it might have been worse then I thought?

O man that’s rough I’m sorry.if you had car seats tho you’ll need to replace them. Also check with your insurance I think if I hit a deer I have no deductible

I checked my paper work, collision is 1000. Unfortunately the insurance office is closed for the weekend, cause accidents never happen on a weekend 🙄

Ugh that so scary. I hit a deer once in the middle of the day. Luckily it was before I had kids. But the deer literally landed smack on my windshield right in front of my face. If I was going any faster it would have come through the windshield. It was terrible. Then the sheriff comes out and shots the poor deer right in front of me as I’m crying on the side of the road. Then the deer got up and ran away and they shot him again. Then heartless drove his dead body right in front of me. Ironic because I was working as a veterinary tech at the time. But with large animals they can’t do anything with injured large wildlife. It was so traumatic

I'm so sorry this happened to you! How scary! I'm glad you are ok! And your LOs! I don't know what's up but I've actually seen several ppl come in contact with deer in the roads recently. It's a bad time apparently.
