Opinions and thoughts on when is appropriate to let baby’s skin touch ocean water & pool water

I waited until my baby was 6 months before letting him be in a pool

I’ll be honest, this ocean water is self cleansing and more sanitary than our bathes. Pool water? Idk 😐

I was 7 days old my first time in the lake.

Personally I’d wait 2-3 months. There’s a lot of germs in that water so I’d want their immune system to be somewhat stronger before exposing them to it. I’d be more worried about the sun though 🙈

I took my baby girl to the beach at 2 months and put her feet in the water. She did perfectly fine! :)
