I was induced at 37 weeks due to high BP & compared to going into labor naturally, it was much more uncomfortable, I won’t lie. The worst part was not being able to eat. They had me on a liquid diet for 24 hours 😩 Horrible. I went in at night and spent the first 12 hours with cervidil inserted to ripen my cervix then in the morning they started pitocin. I guess you can say I was in labor for 12 hours from the start of pitocin to when I had him but it didn’t get unbearable until the last 2 or so but thank God for the epidural. I spent most of the day without dilating much but once they upped my pitocin & broke my water labor progressed really quickly & it hurt. Two pushes and he was out though & we were both healthy & there were no issues.

I was induced at 37 weeks & 3days .. I went to my regular appointment on a monday , not thinking anything was wrong. Cause at my last appointment i was fine! But nope i had risk factors of preclamp . my bp was high & i had alot of protein in my urine.

So i had to have baby i was so scared!!

I started having painful contractions so i asked for epidural quick lol . then they started me on pitocin , i was in labor for 18 hrs. I was good until it was time to push, i felt everything!! It was painful! Once my baby love came all that pain faded . You're gonna be so in love & forget what u just went thru! ❤ good luck hoping you have a smooth delivery!😘

@lifewithlynniejade88, they have to give you ultrasounds because then they measure using the ultrasound to see if you have fuild not if your measuring small

Ok. Just wondering. My OB only gives 2 ultrasounds so I guess he'd give me another if he suspected low fluid. I'm measuring small so I'm hoping mines ok.

I was induced at 37 weeks 3 days do to preeclampsia and I was in labor for 23 hours and with my experience it hurt more that naturally going into labor but my son was healthy. I did end up getting an epidural about 2 hours after they broke my water just because I couldn’t take it any longer but I really tried not to cause I’m scared of needles. After the epidural it went faster probably because the pain was gone.

How do they tell if your fluid is low? Ultrasound? Or just by measurements?

@angelinosmommy, whenever I got to the hospital I was already 8cms dilated and my contractions were 3 minutes apart and they were unbearable. I labored at home for as long as I could because I wasn’t sure if it was the real thing or not. So I waited until the pain was so bad that I couldn’t walk or talk. I did get the epidural at the hospital though

No induction story, because he was ready to come out, but I had my son at 37 weeks 3 days and he is perfectly fine and perfectly healthy. Was 7lbs 11oz
