What to Buy for Twins? Essential Checklist for New Parents

I waited until 24 weeks, that was the point where I felt safe if they were to come early (definitely went crazy with onesies) Diapers and wipes are definitely good things to start buying early! I waited until after the baby shower to check off what I didn't need and what I still needed to get.

Preemie outfits are good to stock up on. My daughters were five pounds each and were in preemie clothes for a month to a month and a half as well as 0-3

I am also buying for boy/girl even though I won't be finding out the sexes. Carter's/Osh Cosh have a no date exchange police. As long as it's unworn you can return it with a receipt. Woo hoo.

I agree with Fefer-at the hospital I work at they have a diaper sale once a month and sell pampers Swaddlers for $0.10 a diaper instead of $0.25 in the stores and I have been buying cases of random sizes since about 12 weeks. My garage is plumb full of cases of diapers.

There's a cool website I found with the calculation of what size to expect a 6lb baby to go through from birth on and I followed that and just doubled it when buying diapers. We will see soon enough if it's accurate. Haha

I would start buying diapers and wipes now, if you have a baby shower most people will buy you size one so buy newborn and size 2-3 to start stocking up. I always say shop if you wanna shop don't let people make you feel like it's to early. I started around 12 weeks and just saved all my receipts if I needed to return anything (like the crap ton of girl clothes I bought because I convinced myself I was having at least one girl).

We started buying a few big items at 20 weeks (after the anatomy scan to make sure both were healthy and ok so far) like cribs, dresser, car seats. Then I waited until after my baby showers. Then I have just finished up my list and have everything ready and I'm 35 weeks. I read to have a majority of things in order by 30 weeks just in case you need bed rest. Believe me putting together big pieces of furniture at 20+ weeks is hard, but it's hardly not possible when you hit 30+ weeks.

I haven't found a list yet, but I'm going to start buying soon also. Simply hb I don't think 18 weeks is too soon with twins.

I wanna start buying but ppl keeping telling me its to early...What do you think??
