Please don't feel that way towards yourself. You're doing great & self care is so important when it comes to taking care of our little ones! I have PPD, & I take Zoloft for it. I was on the fence about the medicine bc I felt like "wow, I need a pill to take care of my son" I was even ashamed to come home & tell my husband. But I decided to try it & I honestly feel better than I've felt even before I was pregnant. It's helped me tremendously! I'll be praying for you though ❤

@klcreller I feel this way all the time but literally have to push through my negative thoughts and know that my child loves me and needs me. I should've gotten help duringy pregnancy and honestly before that. I kept telling them I was fine and lied the whole time all the way up until my son was 9 months. They offered me medicine and I denied it because I was like I know I just need to control my actions, they offered therapy but when I went it felt like a waste of time..like they didn't really care when I was sharing why I'm stressed. Made me feel that maybe medicine might help a little but idk... I've regret my horrible attitude and mood my babies almost first year of life...it's been stressful for him because I literally had arguments everyday or every other day SMH but I say all that to say your not alone..& i am glad at least you have some help..and I may go back to the doctor after I have this meeting next week with these other doctors.

awww hang in there. it'll get better you'll see. There's no shame in how you're feeling. All of us mothers go through it at some point.

Would you feel that way if you had to take meds for a heart condition to keep yourself well? Mental health is just as important as physical health & it makes you an awesome mom for keeping yourself healthy ❤

You’d be surprised at how many of us get ppd. The important thing is that you were able to recognize it quickly and get help, before something bad happened. You’re not incompetent, and this is not your fault.

There is nothing wrong with being on med. You got help and that's great. It doesn't mean your a incompetent mom.
