Honestly I say it depends on how your labor goes, you never know how if is going to go. With my first my water broke and I went into labor. I was in labor 12 hrs but the first 6 I didn't get an epi and the contractions nearly killed me lol I wouldnt get a rest in between and I literally thought I was dying so I asked them to check me and I was only 5cm dilated so I chose to get an epi and after that it was amazing no pain, no nothing I loved it and I was happy while pushing for an hour. However, i want to see how this one goes..if I can labor faster and most of it at home I will def try without the epi, but i have no doubt on getting it if i can't.

I got the epidural with my first, water broke & was only 1-2 cm dilated. They gave me pitocin & the contractions were painful so I decided to get it.

With my second I didn't have time for an epidural. I got to the hospital & was 9 cm. Water broke on its own, Pushed 3 times & she was out. I say either way is fine. It all depends on your labor.

I'm a huge baby when it comes to pain but I ended up not being able to have an epidural for my first. The pain was awful but I'd much rather do it that way then getting a needle to the back. That's just my opinion... this pregnancy might end differently, who knows!

But girl those contractions are no joke. Moms who can do it without it our super hero’s!! I look up to them!

If you get the epi make sure you have someone’s hand to break. I don’t know about you but I have a huge fear of people near back without me seeing what’s going on. With my first I made the nurse move so my husband can hold me with my second I had a spinal tap and when I walked into the room I started balling my eyes out because of the spinal they were doing and my husband couldn’t be in there so I almost broke the midwifes hand when she gave it to me to hold! To me that’s the worse part.

Both are good. Had both already with my pregnancies. Just be careful, with epidural you won’t feel a thing which is great and bad at the same time. While natural just breathe try to walk it out if you’re able to that’s what I did with this last pregnancy and it helped a lot that labor speeded up quickly. Just take it one step at a time and don’t over scare yourself

I have not gotten an epidural on any of my babies. It does get a bit painful and intensive. Last 2-1.5 hrs was the worst for me but was all worth it in the end...I don't plan on it with this baby either. ☺

It just depends on your pain tolerance really and how well you cope and deal with pain. Me personally I don't cope well with pain at all so I got the epidural with both my girls and I don't regret it at all it was a lifesaver I didn't feel nothing 🙌🙌

Read what to expect when you’re expecting. It has some really helpful tips. I didn’t read it w my first so I was freaking out when I was in labor during transition. With my second I read up and had a better idea of what to expect and how to handle it

Either one! If you go natural take it one contraction at a time. I wasn’t able to get an epi with either child but my labors were very rapid
