So frustrated. How is it “team work” when I pay every single damn bill except $250 worth?! I thought the man was supposed to be the provider? Or at least help out and me not pay everything. What are your guys opinions?

You need to make him understand this and hand him bills to pay so he knows it's not all on you.

Our budget is not 50/50. It's based on income. When We first got together I earned more and it was split closer 60/40. When we started new jobs the same year we did 50/50. Now we are at 30/70. Him paying more because I'm home with the kids.

I think it should be even. Total the bills and split it fairly. If it's too much then cut back where you can

@squishymommy1, that’s a very good idea. Thank you for that

@laneylou, you definitely need to sit down and make a budget. Together. List out all the bills and what they cost. Set expectations of whose going to pay what.

@squishymommy1, he makes more than I do is the thing...

@laneylou, you should both set a budget. It’s not fair if he has income to contribute and is leaving it all to you.

@squishymommy1, I have every month since March when we moved in with each other.... but you’re right. I need to sit down with him again because it’s really upsetting me. It’s okay if I’m broke but he can have over a grand in his account.

People’s relationships work differently. If it’s not working for you, you need to have a conversation about it.
