Ugh. My hubby’s ex always tells us last minute when the kids are coming over (my step children). We don’t have a set schedule yet. Its fine, I’m happy to see them. But it’s always right at dinner time and they’re really picky eaters-which I understand because I was the same way when I was a kid. So now I have to cook them a completely different dinner and I barely have anything they will like. I guess I have to make it work 🤷♀️

Any way she can feed them before coming over if she doesn't give notice? Maybe it's time to get the courts rolling for a set schedule.

Definitely agree. Because we’ve been trying to get a set schedule for yearssss and it’s just not working. Yea, maybe I should talk to her about that and ask her to feed them beforehand. But I don’t want it to seem like I don’t want to cook for them or feed them because I do. But half the time I’m cooking stuff they don’t like. @bodybycheetos,

When it's last minute she should feed them before, unless she's doing it this way so she doesn't have to feed them dinner 🤷♀️ If it's with enough notice you have no problem feeding them, but last minute isn't fair to you.

Totally. If I have enough notice, I cook us a dinner all of us enjoy. But I was literally almost done making dinner when my hubby called and said he was going to pick up the kids and they’ll be on their way (20 min). And this happens a couple of times a week.
