I’m being induced with the balloon tonight. How long did it take for you to have baby after starting the balloon?
@missyhedberg214 yeah, the nurses did tell me that was on the faster side. I wasn't induced with my 2nd baby and my labor was only 9hrs, so maybe my body is just geared that way 😁 Good luck!!
@wafflespancakes, oh wow. That’s super fast!

My baby was well known in the Labor and delivery section for 3 days! Because I made no progress dialating. They used cervidil that softens your cervix for 12 hours (no progress)
They gave me a oral pill to help start contractions and dialate ( no progress), they inserted a balloon into my cervix to open it up and even gave me a dose of pitocin (this immediately, had me contracting loke crazy! (I ended up being 4cm dialated. After taking the balloon out they just used pitocin at the highest level...

I got the balloon inserted at 6:45pm and it's now 2:40am. I slept for a few hours but am now just laying here awake. I was bummed because the last time I was in labor and had the balloon, I was in so much pain with the contractions, I was up all night.

Balloon is in! Going without pitocin (unless necessary) as well as no epidural. Wish me luck! Will update later.
(I’m wearing shorts)
It was like a 3/4 hour process for me. I was induced with Pitocin and I didn’t dilated at all for 2 days so they put the ballon in me and it was only in for maybe an hour/ hour and a half it fell out and then my water broke about 20 minutes later and then after another hour my contractions sped up and then started pushing . They did everything around 2, 2:30 and I had my daughter around 6:40
