What do you mommies think, circumcision?? Or not??? Pros & cons? Help!

As a nurse, I can tell you circumcision is unnecessary. Foreskin is completely normal. My hubby isn't circumcised and I'm so glad.

Well, I didn’t circumcise my son. For lots of reasons. Do your research. The procedure is excruciatingly painful for the baby, there’s risks of adhesions, infections, death. They say the risks are low, but every male circumcised in my family all have issues from their circumcisions. Also, there are 16 functions of the foreskin that are important... research those. The foreskin actually makes sex much better for a woman... more gliding, less jabbing, if that makes sense. And- it’s his body. He should decide. I’d never let someone hold my newborn daughter and cut her genitals, why would I let it happen to my son? Rates of infection are almost identical between a circumcised penis and a non circumcised penis, and seriously, it’s super easy to clean. You don’t ever pull the foreskin back. At all. Till he can do it himself. You wipe like a finger from base to tip. And once he can pull it back on his own, a 10 second rinse is all it takes 🤷🏼‍♀️ easier than applying Vaseline at every diaper change and worrying about an open wound around poop.

Anyway, those were my reasons not to.

I personally have had it done on 2/3 of sons.. I will on the 3rd when he decides to come out of my dang womb!
