You should take him to his pedi so they can check his levels. If they are too high they might want to have him back at the hospital under the UV machine. Almost happened to my DD. Also, have him eat eat eat eat. Seriously, milk is the best way to cure jaundice. With DD I started supplementing with formula to make sure he ate as much as he could.
Jaundice can have super bad consequences if not taken care of correctly (hearing or brain problems), so make sure to go see his Dr!
A friend had the UV blanket, or whatever it's called. It's like the UV machine but you take it home. My son had jaundice but his levels kept going down and it was gone by two weeks. I didn't do anything fancy, just fed him and took him outside a few times.
@nomli okay I do that he constantly eats he's been out plenty of times I'll most likely take him out tmrrw for a bit. It's not really bad it's just a spot here & there on his hands and feet
I felt so bad, he had to get so many blood tests to make sure his levels were good. I think he may still have a tiny scar on his foot from where they pricked him.
@k.mommy, I'm really sorry, I don't remember. He had a slight yellow cast over his whole body but you could only see it in certain lighting. He was a bigger baby, 9lbs, and usually the bigger the baby the higher the chances of jaundice.
