Am I the Lazy Spouse in My Marriage During Pregnancy?

I’m definitely the lazy one around the house now . My husband has been fixing stuff around the house , cooking dinner and making food runs for me . I felt bad this morning so I was sure to pack our lunches before we left for work .. after all that was the least I could do ...he cooked last night 😇

@expectinggreatness That's so nice of you! I'm lucky to have him to stay home all day and take care of what needs to be done while I'm working. He doesn't really complain at all, but I do feel badly sometimes.

Lol i thought i was the only one feeling this way lol I dont cook or wash dishes my husband makes sure me and the kids fed and they put to bed clean and tugged lol I just clean because I dont like nobody cleaning ways but mines lol

The first 3 months for me were awful! I was sick everyday with zero energy. The house was a mess and my SO would have to pick up the slack. I left for a few weeks to visit family and he had resorted to hiring cleaning ladies lol. Thank God I came home to a spectacularly clean home! @emily526, I’m still super exhausted (spent the weekend in the ER), but I am thoroughly grateful for such great support from him.

@tiff.momma.love I leave my husband a little list of like 5-10 things I want done everyday (we have some extra work to do because we just moved). He takes care of our daughter all day and just goes about completing what I put on the list. Normally I come home and I'm helpful, but the further along I get I've literally been coming home and being like ok I need to sit down. I drive about an hour to work and an hour back so the commute is exhausting, which sounds like a lame excuse I know, but it's just been like the past 2 weeks up until now that I've really felt this crazy tiredness.

@whoswhoo Exactly, I am so grateful for all he has done since he's come home to be a SAHD! He still gets on my nerves here and there 😅 but he really has been picking up the slack recently. I see posts on here like "my husband comes home and hops on the couch and I've been watching the kids all day" and I'm like... 🙋 Guilty. I know being pregnant is no excuse for extreme laziness, but after a 10 hour workday I just want to put my feet up! Very thankful he understands lol

@emily526 i understand mamas pregnancy can make you feel moody without warning i specially tired even if you didn't do shit spme men understand some call it lazt at the end im like this i wouldnt be going through this If you would of kept your sperm to your self work with me here lol im tryna get used to all this new weight anyways its killing my back i was always a small person 120 now im 165 shit is tiring smh

@tiff.momma.love I think he called me lazy 1 time, and I was like ok so you carry our child then, you do this. And he was like ok nevermind I'm sorry. LMAO I'm not super small to begin with, but my back has been killing me and my legs. I've got my husband researching what to expect because the other day he was like so do we just show up at the hospital on your due date? 😂 I was like, you do realize the baby can come early or late, literally at any time. He's completely oblivious so I had to get him a book to read lol once he started doing research he started becoming much more understanding of everything.

@tiff.momma.love He is lmao he wouldn't let me lift the pitcher of juice out of the fridge yesterday. I'm like ok I can still do basic things myself, relax. But I think because he missed my first pregnancy and labor he's trying to be as involved as he can. He will panic when I go into labor I can see it now, I'll be the one telling him to breathe 😂
