Oh no sorry to hear about your kidney infection. My niece just had that and she said it was very painful. Sorry I’m not sure if there anything u really missed as I’m not that active on here. Hope you’re feeling better

@ss3mom, not missing anything makes me miss BB even more lol. Yeah girl, I thought it was kidney stones! Hope to never feel that pain again lol. How are you doing? Is another mom platform more active than this app?

@whoswhoo, I had kidney stones about 10 days before my due date with my 2nd it was awful. I thought I was in labor!!! I’m sure there’s a lot going on here I’m just not on much.

@ss3mom, omg, what was done to alleviate the pain for you? Surely they made you wait to do a surgical procedure, or did they pass on their own? I’m so scared this pain will come back and it’ll be stones!

@whoswhoo, all they did was give me pain meds. They thought they would be able to give me a few doses and I’d be ok but that didn’t work. I had to stay in the hospital overnight on constant pain meds. Then they sent me home with Percocet. I didn’t take many because I was nervous. They passed on their own. Then I was induced about 2 weeks later

It was so painful. I really thought I was in labor and when I got to the hospital and gave a urine sample the dr was like this has nothing to do with the baby. I almost cried!!

@ss3mom, omg what a nightmare! I was given Vicodin and really was worried about it. Glad all of it is over for both of us lol

@whoswhoo, omg it really was 1000 times worse then labor!! I would have taken a natural birth over those damn kidney stones. I’ve never had them before and I’ve never had them after either. I guess it was just pregnancy related

Yeah doc said I was too young for them & I really hope he’s right, bc my pain was ridiculous. I never cry in front of people and I cried lol. I couldn’t even imagine stones if that’s not what I have lol. @ss3mom,

@whoswhoo i didnt have kidney stones, but i had galbladder stones. I went to the er 6 different times. Each time they treated me as a heart attack patient, i have a pacemaker as well. Not a damn one would check my galbladder because i was "too young" even with the given history of both parents and both grandmas having theirs removed. It took me going to my cardiologist and having a stress test, echo, and a heart cath done before anyone would listen. Even then my so pretty much screaned at the er dr to check my galbladder. I litterally landed in the er a day after they done my heart cath. I went through so many procedures that i didnt need to go through because the drs said i was "too young". For fucks sake. Im 24 with a pacemaker that ive had since i was 17 for a complete AV block thats only common in older people. No bodys "to young" for anything. Im a prime example of that.

@whoswhoo, you may not be a “typical” person with kidney stones, but my 8 year old son has kidney stones, so you’re not too young! They do not know why he has them. We have been seeing nephrology for over a year. He is on medicine now and we do regular 24hr urine catches. He has 150 times more calcium in his urine than he should and they don’t know why.

@cprater0033, honestly I thought the same. My age didn’t matter bc of the pain. He said I was underdosed with the antibiotics I was taking from a doctors visit days before. He gave me 2 Vicodin and I haven’t had pain since. I’m so scared it’ll come back! I’m sorry you had to go through all of that & waste all of that time & money. Sucks when they don’t listen right away.

@whoswhoo, pretty normal diet. Could do with more meat and veggies but he does ok. Mostly they tried to figure out if we were giving him a bunch of supplements, like calcium or vitamin D. No! Only a Flintstone vitamin when I remember...so, like twice a week? 🤷🏼‍♀️ No restrictions put on his diet because he needs the calcium. Water and milk is basically all he drinks. We need to get this loss of calcium slowed.

@cprater0033, yeah it would’ve sucked after eating jalapeños lol. I drank a bunch of oj the weeks prior and I am scared to keep drinking it, but jalapeños are a whole different story lol
