I had 8, but he didn't like being swaddled. They did come in handy as drop cloths, burp rags, feeding covers, light blankets, and changing cloths. Now he cuddles with one to sleep.
We had like 5 but never used them to swaddle because my son hated it. We used them as blankets. Instead of swaddling, we used sleep sacks. Those were a great investment for us at least.
I have 7, my daughter loves to be swaddled. I finally decided to buy the zen swaddle and omg soo worth it! It helps her sleep better at night. Right now I use the zen swaddle st night and swaddle blankets during the day.
