A 5 day migraine at 24 weeks that will NOT go away. I’m so miserable

@micgennyy, good! I would have them check just to be safe even if they send you home with the urine jug and do the 24 hour one at home. I hope everything turns out okay. Keep us updated lots of prayers for you and baby!!

@mombie., I’m gonna give it a few more days and if it don’t stop I’m going to the ER and see if they will check my protein level.

@micgennyy, that’s messed up you would think if they “thought it was wrong” they would have you come in to check it there always go with your gut though if you don’t feel better go to a different doctor or the er high blood pressure isn’t anything to mess with especially during pregnancy

@mrschanandlerbong95, @goodleah, @mombie., @mrschanandlerbong95, They told me the blood pressure was probably wrong, that there’s nothing they can do but tell me to slay down in a dark room and sleep. They prescribed me phenergen and told me it’ll definitely make me sleepy and to be careful. That if it didn’t work they would put me on a last resort medicine. They didn’t seem too concerned with anything I said.

It’s not super high, but it is getting there. I’ve got a history of hypertension in pregnancy, so my Doctor has me taking 2 baby aspirin daily, and it helps a lot. I’d ask your doctor about it (please don’t start taking anything without talking to your doctor)

If you feel any worse call l&d they will probably have you go in but just try to relax as much as possible and stay off your feet and drink lots of water

@mombie., I’m honestly shocked it’s kinda so high because last week it was sooo low. But I’ll call and leave a voicemail because they aren’t open right now.

Honestly I would contact your doctor as soon as you can and let them no that’s really high top number especially seeing your still early in pregnancy.

@micgennyy, I would definitely go to a pharmacy and get it checked and if there not open you can go to your doctor office and just ask them to check it you don’t need an appointment or anything atleast that’s how it is here

I would get your blood pressure checked that was my main sigh both pregnancies with high blood pressure

@goodleah, I hadn’t even considered this at all. Last week when I was at work I had it checked because I felt light headed and weak and it was extremely low like 85/60 and my doctor didn’t seem to be concerned when I called but the migraine started two days after that. It’s extremely bad, I can’t move my head too fast without sharp pains sending everywhere. And of course I have googled but mainly everything I’ve found is for first trimester which migraines and headaches are normal supposedly.

Do you know anyone who can take your blood pressure or could you go to a pharmacy with one of the blood pressure machines? A bad headache that doesn't go away could be a sign of high blood pressure.. If that's the case waiting until the 6th to let your doctor know might not be a good idea.

@mrschanandlerbong95, my next doctor appointment is the 6th, I figured I would wait till then to mention it because if it doesn’t stop by then there has to be something wrong.
