How long do you have to bleed for it to be an official period?

@penelope127, now I’m thinking that it was nothing. I’m cramping but only have had some spotting

@devd92, so if you think you’re only having or had a one day period, don’t let that stop you from testing for ovulation. It can still happen.

@devd92, it was. Even when I went in and they asked when my last cycle was, I said well, I only had 1 day of I guess a flow, which was 12-31.Then they did the ultrasound to see if it was a viable pregnancy it all lined up. So it can happen.

@devd92, yes, literally a day. I was so confused, and I wasn’t sure if I should count that as my period, but after a couple of days, I started testing for ovulation, and I did later on ovulate, and we did end up getting pregnant.

@devd92, it was a light period for me, but more than spotting.

The bleeding just has to be more than spotting to be a period. My last period before I got pregnant, was also the first period after my miscarriage, and I only had 1 day of bleeding.
