My daughter is a little over a week old and her poor skin is peeling like crazy! All over! This is just her hand. My oldest never had this. I’ve been putting non scented lotion on her, and I know it’s probably normal that his happens but is there anything else I can do?

My daughter was peeling like that everywhere! She's 11 days old now and it's finally going away. I've been using some coconut oil even though the Dr said "it won't help anything". I literally thought this picture was my daughter when I was scrolling, same PJ's and all!
Definitely normal. My little guy peeled like crazy too. I just used lots of lotion in him.
I was three days late with my oldest and he was bright red and peeling right after birth, they joked he cooked too long.
Yep my daughter was peeling for like the first month. Normal. Agree with everyone else on coconut oil.
@saraann, ah, ok well stick with the coconut oil it is the best stuff out there.
@memybumpandi, Her umbilical cord hasn’t fallen off yet so I haven’t been able to give her a bath just yet. :(
I was going to say coconut oil too. You can also put it in her bath.
Breast milk also helps soothe the skin if you pop some in her bath.
This happened to my daughter and her pedi recommended coconut oil and it helped so much.
