@adelasfamily, the ultrasound can be off by up to two pounds. I had GD and they told me at 36 weeks my son was 7lbs 6 oz and to think about induction or a csection. My first was 9lbs, I’m not scared of a big baby I told them no. He was 7lbs 5 oz when he was born on his own terms. Weight is not a valid reason to risk lung and brain development

Probably not unless it’s a health concern. My doctor couldn’t even medically induce me until I was 39 weeks.

For shits and giggles? Absolutely not and a doctor should lose his license if he does. If there is no medical reason, that’s a huge risk to baby.

They will not induce you before 39w unless medically necessary.
