I’m gonna be a first time mommy and I’ve never cared for a baby. I’m the youngest in my family. So I have no clue what one doing besides feeding baby a bottle, and burping them and I barely know that. Any tips on how to care for a new born or what to do when they come home? Everything helps?

I learned to just go with the flow really fast there is no preparing to be a mom it just comes to you at first it's so hard but for me it came really quick. U learn to kinda just feel what ur baby wants and baby's cry for no reason :)

Always dedicate as much energy into taking care of your newborn as your family took care of you. Now you can choose to breastfeed, or bottlefeed. Your nurse will show you how to do either, and how much to give them. Usually about 4 oz every 2 and a half hours. Swaddle baby, their are videos on YouTube to show you how to, if the nurse doesn't show you some of these things. Changing the diaper isn't too hard, for me i always made it harder then it was even after I thought i had it. The big edges go in the back to strap over the front side of the diaper. If you choose to breastfeed, drink lots of water and eat way more calories then you did when you were pregnant. Otherwise, bottlefeeding, would mean waking up with baby every 2 to 2and a half hours. It's a tough job at first, but it will get easier as baby gets bigger. Congratulations btw. I remember entering the mom world with my first and it was no picnic when I got started. But you fall in love with the job and the time you get to spend with your lo. You're going to do great, babies don't come with a guide or directions. But it won't change the way you feel and look at your first love. Also be aware of some of the dangers of depression after pregnancy, try to stay as calm as possible, and just know in your heart everything will be okay. You're loved momma 💕

I really feel like when that baby comes and you have an overwhelming love for it that you will figure it out. Even moms who have 5+ kids or are older go through seasons of learning and trying to figure out how to be the best parent that they can be. We are all learning and loving our children. You can do this! God has blessed you with this child.

It will come naturally , im going on my 3 baby and im still learning new things everyday! You can always take parenting classes and if you plan on breastfeeding take a class of those i took them and they help me out alot. Im sure you will be an amazing mother:)

Take a newborn care class! Your insurance or WIC should be able to provide one. Instinct is great, but a lot of things really do need to be taught. 💕it will give you confidence and that is one thing you truly need being a parent.

Instincts will kick in but if you are worried I would definitely suggest taking a class. You'll do great!

It will come naturally as already said plus they will show you what to do in hospital and most hospitals make you take a discharge class (a class you have to take before they discharge you)
