So I got my arm implant removed on Friday. The difference in the site where it was inserted between now and before it was removed is mind blowing almost. It’s actually healing and closing up, I’ll have a nice scar but that’s okay, it’s not red anymore it doesn’t hurt or anything. I’m so happy 😭.

@incognit0, I was on the pill but got pregnant for a 2nd time because I missed one then I lost the baby...💔 I got the implant because I didn’t want that to happen again and I knew I’d be protected for a couple years and not forget to take a pill. My implant didn’t set right/wasn’t placed right so therefore the site didn’t heal right and I kept getting a scab and every so often it would snag on something and get ripped off and I’d have this open hole. Well Friday came along and I had this open hole and it took the dr 2 seconds to see it before she said “take it out”, they had never ever seen anything like this before. The only reason I’m worried about getting it again in my other arm is because I’m worried the same thing will happen again(probably won’t but now that fear is there).

@incognit0, the dr that put it in assured me over and over that it was super simple and she had done it so many times before and she’s maybe in her 40’s. Oddly enough...the dr that put it in is the one that told the other dr to remove it 😒. They have no idea why it happened it didn’t get infected or anything which they thought it did it just didn’t set right in my arm it was so weird! The dr that removed it though suggested mirena to me so I’ve been thinking long and hard about it .

@incognit0, regular. I had missed pills so I wasn’t actually protected by it. The implant was working but it was just also not set right which is a miracle that it was actually working lol

@incognit0, this is what mine did! @noahs.mommy, hope you have better luck with it the next try, I think I would try something different myself .. seeing how i got mine removed just because it through my body so out of whack and was immediately pregnant apon removal I hope you get this figured out! Good luck ❤️❤️

@boymom_, yeah I don’t think I’ll get the implant again just cause I have that fear that the same thing will happen again 😭. I’m still thinking about mirena but idk it’s so hard to choose something.
