@kay201, look up wonder weeks. He’s in a sleep regression. Which is completely normal for his age. I definitely would steer clear of melatonin right now. This is completely normal and won’t last too long.

- For anyone, used somewhat regularly if had. Melatonin is a natural thing your body produces. If it’s being given to your body(the pill) the body will stop making it. Which means you’ll require it. Dependency. Definitely talk to pedi. ❤️

Мама сына (1 год), беременна (17 нед.)
@redheadedmonster, his sleep schedule is 8-8:30pm bedtime. He’s been going to bed like that since 10 months old and falling asleep on his own and staying asleep all night. This past week and a half he won’t sleep and has so much energy. He literally won’t sleep at all. It’s not like him

@kay201, what’s his sleep schedule like? He’s only a year and 4mo. A lot of kids that age fight sleep and wake up a lot during the night.

@kay201, Yea if you give it to them everyday. They’ll come immune to it and won’t work.

Мама четверых детей
I wouldn't use it for young toddlers unless their pediatrician tells you otherwise.. My big kids get 1.5mg (a 3mg cut in half) or 3mg when they can't sleep & my almost 4 yr old gets 1mg. The little one gets it more often because she has alot of trouble settling down long enough to fall asleep.

@finesse.muva, but I hear that it can mess your child’s sleep up and they become dependent on it. That’s what’s worrying me about it.

Melatonin is all natural

My son was prescribed melatonin due to having sleep disturbances cause by a genetic disorder he has. It did not work at all, his sleep patterns were still all over the place. Doctors were hoping it would help get him in a better, more “normal” sleep routine but it didn’t. So I don’t give it to him anymore.
I would recommend speaking with your child’s pediatrician about it.
