I would check his phone and make sure his not spending all that time on his phone chatting to another woman.... My ex husband used to treat me lik that when he was messing around behind my back...

Being on his phone catching up with friends via fb or txt might be his way of going out with his buddies without actually leaving the house.

The worst thing you can do is to take It personally. I’m sure it’s NOT about you.

Definitely not saying don’t be cautious and keep on eye on this behaviour, but I would atleast let him FEEL like he has the space he needs.

@staceydawn6, but would you cut out intimacy with your spouse during this period? It's like I don't exist. He comes home, helps with the kids and maybe dishes, stays on his phone and goes to sleep. I don't understand cos he gets time to chat with people he can't see but barely says a word to me unless he's asking about something to do with the kids.

I was just thinking the same thing about myself today! I’m not a man but to me it means I need some space to be me. I need to take care of MY needs, not my husbands or my sons. When I say I need my space what I mean is that I need my husband to give me the time and space so that I can take care of myself just for a bit so that I can come back to mom life refreshed and ready to give It my all again. I think the saying goes something about not being able to fill others cups if yours is empty.

I’m not sure if this is what It means for men but either way keep in mind that YOU may need your ‘space’ also😊
