DH leaves for his job in machine maintenance around 1pm, and gets home around 11pm 6 days a week usually. He gets up when DD and I do around 7am and does any upgrades/maintenance on household and vehicles, vacuums fairly regularly and helps with general pickup while he's here, and anything that's needed if I'm getting behind on chores. He also runs errands with me or watches DD while I do them. He bathes DD about half the time as well.

Otherwise he is working on hobby stuff like tinkering in the shop or learning how to farm, and playing with DD. He's one of those people that always has to be productive 😂. It's great for our family, but I feel shitty about just relaxing sometimes.

My husband works in road construction leaves at 5 am gets home around 4 or 5 pm sometimes later. Since hes the only one working I honestly Don't expect much because he works so hard for us. He does always help with dinner and baths. I do most of the cleaning

I just read your last post. My husband doesn't work, but I noticed you said "his" dog. So if he can't take his dog out for 2 minutes it doesn't sound like he's responsible enough to have a dog in the first place. Seems like something very small you're asking him to do.

My husbands only chores are dishes (we have a dishwasher) and trash, and we take turns cleaning the toilet. He helps out with the girls when I need help as well. Otherwise I do most of the cleaning unless I ask him to help with something.

(Not 12 hr shifts, but usually 7 days a week)

My husband is a utility locator and he is all over the place all day. He has always been very helpful with everything. Especially with me being pregnant again with horrible morning sickness- he helps a lot with dinner and dishes and cleaning up at the end of the night.

It has always been a team effort since my first was born.
