Anyone else's little one start passing has almost immediately after they start feeding? My son starts sounding after as soon as he takes a few swallows and I can literally feel the gas entering his body as he feeds. Idk if it's because of his latch or what. My milk comes out really easily so I don't try to force him to put too much in his mouth because I don't want to choke him with my milk overflow. I do try to pump or hand Express before I feed him to slow the let down but idk what else I can do to try to avoid him getting so gassy. He tends to moan a bit after feeding too and that makes me feel so bad. Last night he was moaning and groaning more than usual and I felt so terrible. I must have checked his temperature about 8 times. He seems to be feeling better today and he didn't moan too much after nursing so hopefully yesterday was just a bad day. It's so hard seeing your child in discomfort 😔

@nellybamba I went to see a lactation consultant experienced in oversupply and she recommended me to completely avoid pumping, and to do block feeding..which is offering only one breast per feeding. So right breast for the next 3 hours, then left breast for the next 3 hours. I had very bad oversupply (my baby is done eating and gets her whole meal in 2-4minutes) so I was told to breastfeed from one side for 2 feedings so 6 hours one breast then the next, for one week then after a week to go back to one side per feeding. It took me 2 months for my milk supply to get more regulated to my babys needs...but she still struggles with the fast letdown and I still have a lot of milk. But it will get better with time
@julybaby2016 I do have milk oversupply. That's why I try to pump or express some of the initial milk before feeding baby.
If you have a fast letdown, try laying back when you feed to slow your flow. Then he won't have to gulp as much (and take in more air) to keep up with the flow.

It may also be that you have milk oversupply....that causes baby to get t Much foremilk which is high in lactose and this irritates their belly and makes them gassy
Eliminate diary!! My daughter was the same! She had horrible gas. I could hear them very loud and feel them...and she was in so much pain because of it. Took her to pediatrician several times and they thought it was just colicks then they thought it was my milk oversupply (this was also a different issue) then they said reflux. I was ready to give up breastfeeding. Then I decide to eliminate dairy (keep in mind that it takes several weeks for the protein in milk to completely get out of your body then 2 or 3 more weeks for it to get out of your babys). After about 5 or 6 weeks the gas was completely gone...and I notice she starts having bad gas when I eat dairy products

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...

My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
@julybaby2016 I have only been feeding him from my right breast today because my left boob is like a faucet lil. He seems better today. I try not to pump too much but I have to relieve the pressure somehow. I don't have to pump the left too much except when he sleeps for a long stretch.
