When did everyone go on maternity leave from work or when are you planning on going?

i went at 30 weeks cause I felt pushed out but I planned to go at 36 weeks x

I’ve been woundering the same thing although I want to leave now 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣 x

I went at 35 weeks x

I’m going off 5 weeks before due date xxx

I'll be going at 38 weeks x

@pearce5443 I'll be going on mat leave 28th of August and going back to work 28 of September xx

@mummyandhertwoboys My employer doesn't pay mat leave so I will only get statutory. I'm not sure what my options are at the moment xxx

37 with my son, he was born the day after I finished. This time I’m starting at 29 weeks (earliest I can) as they’re treating me like sh*t and pushing me out so I’ve had enough 😆

I work in an office and planning to work until a week before I’m due, going down to 3 days a week 6 weeks before though to make it easier x

@pearce5443 yeah it's hard, but I'm glad I went off when I did...depends what work an hour's you do aswell...im a nursing assistant and I was doing 3, 12 hour shifts in a row and all heavy work x

I’m planning on working right up until my due date, but starting to feel exhausted already, so I might have to rethink. I’m a lecturer thought and September/October are our busiest times, so I won’t be that much earlier.xx

@jennyrodd88 sorry to hear your work aren't treating you very nice. There's no need for it. Some employers really do act like it's such an inconvenience don't they. X

@taylorbx That's what I wanted to do. Work right up until the end so I could have as much time with baby as possible xx

@surraya1983 Yeah I'm pretty exhausted to lol. I guess we just have to listen to our bodies we will know if it becomes to much xx

I work in a school for boys that have been excluded from mainstream, they all suffer behavioural issues and physical restraints are common to have to give as they lash out and become violent. Not the safest place to be whilst pregnant! Although as of September I will be with the older ones and going out to college with them so that will be much safer. Depending on how I find it I may go as early as possible, baby’s safety is first - although if I feel ok and safe I may stay until a month or so before baby is due 😊
