I'm not a Dr! Just putting that out there. But my water broke with my 1st born and I didn't have contractions for a while after. I just wanted to share my experience with you because I had no idea that could even happen. Had I not gone to the hospital when I did I would've had my daughter in my house. The second I got to the hospital I started contracting and my daughter was here in less than 30 minutes. It's giving me crazy anxiety this time around with my pregnancy because anything could happen.

@emily526, how many weeks were you?? This happened yesterday with me but I have absolutely no contractions or pain !!

@taylorsmommy1017, I was skeptical about them telling me to just not mind it !! It didn’t feel like my water broke because I haven’t leaked ever since decided usual discharge .

@brianamestichelli I was closer to 31 weeks, that's why I wanted to share my experience with you. My mom's water didn't break with me or my brother, so when it happened to me and I asked her she was clueless. I had no pain or cramping at all, just literally felt like I peed myself in bed but I know I didn't. When I got up it continued coming out so that's how I knew something was up. I showered, ate dinner, packed a bag and still no pain or anything. The only reason we even went to the hospital was because it was starting to snow outside so I wanted to be checked out before it started getting bad out. But I'm lucky I did that because when I got to the hospital my contractions started and seriously my daughter was here in like 20 minutes. I didn't even finish filling out the paperwork.

@emily526, omg!! How was your baby, Was he or she okay?? My OB seemed completely nonchalant about the ordeal and said to not worry about it. I was like okayy.. but I worry about infections it is my water

@taylorsmommy1017, I have had a cold for a few days and I can’t breath out of my nose so I couldn’t even smell it !! Am I able to ask to be checked before my appt . I hate how they get annoyed about me wanting to check on our health 😒

@brianamestichelli She had some complications with her lungs and was jaundice so she needed to stay in the NICU for a while. But all in all she was ok. She still has some respiratory issues, but they are minor.

@emily526, awe I’m glad she’s well !! I’m unsure if I should go to OB before Thursday

@brianamestichelli Like I said, I'm not a Dr. But it's just been my experience that if you feel like something is up and you think you need to get checked, then go get it checked out. All they can say is you're fine and then you can relax.
