My son had it. We had a bunch of ultrasounds every few weeks to keep an eye on it. And it actually ended up resolving itself before birth. Doctor told me if it didn’t resolve itself is a quick easy surgery but 9 times out of 10 it’s fixed by birth and not to worry. Needless to say I worried. I didn’t have the blood work done either but everything else measured just fine so I didn’t really worry about anything else

Sounds like hydronephrosis. Are you having a boy? It’s more common in boys than girls. Most of the time it resolves by itself after the pressure of being squeezed through the birth canal. With my son he had it up until he was about 5 (both kidneys and ureters) and it resolves on its own after that. If it is really bad and doesn’t resolve in its on then they would suggest surgery.

My son had that problem up until birth. They did an ultrasound at the hospital at about 24 hours old and it had already resolved itself
