stomach tightening?
I've never experienced any BH with my first or this pregnancy so I don't know if this is BH or not. I've been on my birthing ball and while doing so, my stomach feels like it tightens up for a minute or so and then releases. (I had back labor with my son so I also dont know what stomach contractions feel like ?) anyways, has anyone else experienced this? What is it exactly? It's happening every 10 minutes I would say and it's not painful at all.

Braxton hicks if they aren’t painful

Okay ladies, well I just had about 3 of them in the last 20 minutes and on and off all day. Should I be concerned?

I just had this conversation with my doctor. My natural not augmented contractions are painless (and don't tend to be timable or regular) but will dilate me to ten and have me pushing in no time. and since I'm on bedrest an hour and a half away from the hospital I ask him to be very specific with the difference between real and fake is. Real contractions are tightening of the stomach and it gets rockhard followed by menstrual cramping that creeps up w the contraction (can be mild almost not noticeable to sever cramps) and release in the time frame it releases. Braxton Hicks is kind of the opposite you can feel achy (or not) and your stomach my Tighten some what or just partially. They are usually the ones that a just irritating and uncomfortable and nothing else.

@the-kings-daughter I've been dealing with it all day. They're stronger then they were this morning. My belly gets hard with them, very hard, they aren't painful but borderline between discomfort and painful.
