That is way trimmer. I've never used flats only pockets but with baby #2 I'm going to use flats during the NB stage and if I like them then ill cont to use them.

@6kaen6 I just ordered some from the ds website to try out, thanks for the recommendation! Do you know roughly how long they will take to ship!?

I love flats! For those of you looking for economical covers, try diaper safari! They are stretchy and I actually like them better than my imagines and flips. They have really nice colors too. DS runs buy 2 get 1 sales on them periodically but even if you don't wait for that the price goes down the more you buy. And free shipping no matter how much you spend!

Also, the difference isn't too different. I can still fit pretty much any clothes over either of these. Now of she had an outfit that's getting a little snug it would fit over the flip/flat better than the bottombumpers.

They are just as trim but they don't have stretchy tabs like flips so I don't like them. I can't get as good of a fit. If you wait until cotton babies has their seconds sale you can get flips for a lot cheaper.

Thank you! That's a big difference. I think I'm going to go with econobum covers rather than flip though, I like the price much better! Thoughts on econobum? I assume they are just as trim?

I could never get flats to work on my toddler. She soaks through them in less than an hour. But I agree they are super trim on bigger babies.

I love flats for the same reason. I started using them when my toddler was a newborn because I couldn't get the prefolds on well. I still use them now at 20 months! Now i use the pad fold so it's one step getting on. I used GroVia inserts for going out back when I was still using origami fold.

Wow I would've never thought. It is actually waayyy trimmer thank u!

A modified origami fold. I fold it origami style and then I fold in the sides before I wrap it around her. It makes it not so wide around her hips.

What fold did you use here?

After I washed and dried these they shrunk to 23" x 25.5" :) they started out at 27x27

This is pretty amazing, I wouldn't want to bother with flats all the time but they might be fun to experiment with. I'll have to try I bought and prepped some flour sack towels I just haven't used them yet. Does anyone know the difference in size with regular flats and flour sack towels? I was thinking about adding my applecheeks bamboo booster when I tried them.

I was completely shocked at how trim they are. I think I'll still stick with bottombumpers while we are out tho. They are faster to change.

I use flats when we go out bc they fit better under clothes and don't give her such a fluff butt
