There is a homemade formula recipe on here. I will bump it for you. If I had to make the switch I would strongly consider making my own...

You don't have to switch all the way! Just a couple feedings of breast milk a day will still give her soooooo many things she cant get from formula. Just pump a couple times during the day, maybe first thing in the morning. One bottle a day will be better than no bm at all! :)

I understand you completely but don't feel bad is whatever works best for you and your baby! You should feel proud you were able to breastfeed this much ;)

If I had to guess why I would think it's probably because you're still latching. My LO doesn't latch at all so all of the milk is expressed during pump sessions. If she were to be latching I'd have less milk to pump out.

When I first started formula feeding (had to switch around 3/4 months cause I dried up), I felt the same way. I was verrrry depressed and upset with myself. But in the long run, our babies are healthy and growing and that's the important thing. Plus it is nice having the break! ;) You've done very well, even more than the majority of women do by bf this long. Good job! And your feelings will pass, don't worry. :)

@babyp123 it takes me forever to pump enough for dd to eat. When I pump for 20 mins I am lucky if I have enough for 1 feeding. I wish I had a freezer stash to last me until dds 1st bday.

Thank you ladies! It is definitely stressful at times. It's just when she's nursing and looking up at me, in that moment I never want to stop. But then she bites me so hard she takes off skin.. And then I'm over it. Lol. But it's such an incredible bond, I'm just afraid it won't feel the same if I bottle feed.

Don't feel bad at all! Even my Pediatrician only bf'd for 6 mths then switched to ff. I will however add that I exclusively pump and bottle feed my lo. It doesn't take me too much time at all. I only pump 4 times a day for 20 mins at a time. It's 20oz more than LO consumes a day so I have a huge freezer stash. If I wanted to I could stop pumping in 2 mths and have enough til her first birthday. Everyone gets to feed her, happy momma, happy baby!

Dont feel guilty! You made it halfway to 1 year and that is great :) breastfeeding is more stress than people often realize. good for you for going so long :)

Dont feel bad at all! I never breast fed that was just my choice it wasnt for me and my dd is doing great it took us a few different types to find one that worked for her and anytime you switch its going to take a few days for lo to adjust and they may spit up and may get diarrhea or constipated but it shouldnt last too long. Any amount of breastfeeding whether its 3 months or a year is good for los. Be proud of yourself that you made it this far! Alot of moms cant stick with it i know i couldnt have
