Yes. Pail liners are for home, and wet bags go in your diaper bag for when you're out. When you come home you just empty the wet bag contents into the pail liner with the rest of your used diapers.
I agonized over this too! I ended up getting two pail liners same size, and two wet bags- one small and one medium. At first I thought I'd want a big wet bag that zips to use as our diaper pail at home, but I decided on the plastic trash can with a liner instead. It works great.
I guess u could but ud be wasting a lot of trash bags. Pail liner u wash w dipes & reuse. Kinda defeats the purpose of cloth being better for saving money & environment ; )
It depends if you want a container or not. You can use a large wetbag hanging at home, or a container. If you use a container you need a liner. They are very similar and serve the same purpose. I use a large wetbag hanging at the end of my changing table because it takes up less room.
You don't need both. I originally bought two planet wise large hanging wet bags and they ate terrible. They cause SO MUCH stink in my house and end up leaking. I won't use them for a diaper bag. I now have a 13 gal sterilite flip lid trash can with a rumparooz pail liner and LOVE it. No stink and no leaking. The liner is great. Much better than planet wise for sure.
thanks ladies :) does it matter if the trash can is plastic or stainless steel? we have 2 stainless steel ones.. and its just me and hubby. so the other one is just sittin in our storage closet.

No it shouldn't matter. It's better if the lid is open though so air can circulate which will make it so it doesn't smell.
