- My friends always started between 7-9 months.. it works better the later you do it. Definitely not before six at least. Babies cry to communicate. It’s easy to forget that. I get super hot and my blood pressure goes up when my guy cries 😅😅😅 even when I know everything’s fine. Still. It’s automatic and a bit creepy 😅💙
@mommytonayeliz, yeh so start preparing her now
@takiahilk yeah no one is gonna wanna have her on them all day long .... especially cuz she takes care of a 6month old
@mommytonayeliz, not a guarantee but what will babysitter do I’m quite she will cry because she won’t hold her all day
@takiahilk i feel like a bad mom if i start doing it tho:(
@mommytonayeliz, do what you gotta do
@emilymarie1357 it just sucks cuz what about when she goes to the babysitter? i have to go back to work im not gonna be here
My almost 3 month old is the same way! He has to be on me to sleep. I just suck it up. Not much you can do about it now.
that's my thing@takiahilk she's going to a baby sitter soon and she just cries for her to get picked up ,she will eat get a diaper change but as soon as she gets put in the bassinet she starts
@mommytonayeliz, I started the CIO when my oldest was 3 months only due to him having to go to babysitter because I worked it was I start it or babysitter and I felt better with me doing it than allowing my child to cry it out with Someone else all depends on the situation
@emilymarie1357 ohkay . thanks for the advice i am trying to get my baby girl out the habit of being on me to sleep ,she hates her bassinet during the day thats really why i asked but shes too small for that method now but idk what to do
Definitely. I would say a good starting point is around 6 months old. I used it with my first because I needed to break the habit of having to rock/soothe him to sleep. But never use CIO if they’re crying for a real reason-which is obvious.
@babydiehl2016 okayyy im a ftm so i was really just curious . what is CIO?
@beccaaalynnn11 yeah it can get frustrating to say the least lol
