If I hear about how small my daughter is one more time I will lose it. I understand that she is small. It kind of runs in the family considering both of her parents are just over 5'. I keep hearing my daughter must be very unhealthy because she is 18.7lbs at 15 months. And how short she is because she is 27.5 in tall. She is healthy and on track!
Sorry for the rant! Just needed to get that off my chest.
@iza-bela I'm sorry, it's seems like people would use common sense with something like that. Especially with how tall you both are. It's frustrating that other people just cant see that our babies are happy and healthy the way they are. People are constantly searching for something to be wrong with a kid because they are not within the exact average for a specific age range.
@2016stacys, that’s so true. Eating habits change almost everyday. There’s always something new and yeah she’s a baby so I’m sure that can change, both her dad & I are thin, so I know she’s gonna be the same and I’m fine with that, easier to carry lol my boys were super heavy!
I actually have the opposite. People are always commenting on her height and asking why is she so tall.
She is 19 months and 36 inches tall everyone assumes she is bigger and when I tell them the age they make a weird face and ask why is she so tall..... uummmm maybe the don’t see the obvious with both parents standing in front of them. I’m 5’8 and husband is 6’4 and they are still asking why🤦♀️
Enjoy you kids they are the perfect size and height
@leslyev92 it could just be your daughters preferences and she doesn't need as much. I can say my daughter is the opposite. She has such a high metabolism like her dad. She eats 3-4 meals a day and still snacks all day. If she sees anyone with food she immediately assumes they will share with her. Yet she is not gaining the weight to match her eating habits. Me and my sister's we're buckets of lards as babies. So even my mom gives me comments all the time. But every baby is different and eating habits change constantly.
I realize that you can’t compare boys with girls, my baby girl is on the slimmer side. She’s gaining weight, everything is perfect but she’s smaller than my boys were at this point and she doesn’t eat as much as them. Maybe it could be her and not all girls in general (my mom told me I could really drink milk as a baby) every child is different. Some women always just assume that if they had a certain experience it will be the same for every woman. Like during my pregnancies I always got the “you’re so small” comments but I was right where I was suppose to be, measuring exactly how far along I was.
@leroydoom my step son is that way too! He is so tiny and just turned 5. He is still wearing 3t-4t clothes.
Good grief! A friend of mine kept getting asked what was wrong with her so because he's so small. She's like "both his dad and I are short, and my grandfather was a damn jockey. So of course he's small!"
My son is the same, hes about 38in tall and 31lbs now and he was about 19lbs and 29in at around 15mnths. Hes mistaken for a 2-3 year old all the time and he'll be 5 in Nov. On top of that hes a picky eater. 😏 So I've heard it all.
Your daughter is perfect just the way she is. ❤
My 19m old is 19lbs and 31in. I hear it all the time!! I just say her doctor is happy with her growth rate and since it's not a concern to her it is not to me either. Petite and perfect!
@jahmiliapayne yes! I'm 5'1 and my husband is 5'3 we are tiny! Yet everyone gets upset especially other moms whos babies are almost twice the size of my daughter
GIRL!!! I am having this exact same problem right now. My daughter is naturally small. She is waaay ahead of all the other babies her age and is super active and trying to freaking walk right now 🤦🏻♀️ but instead of people being happy about all she has been achieving, I am constantly hearing about how small she is. All humans are different so I’m confused as to why it’s an issue?! She is dirtying diapers and peeing just fine. She is eating a ton and happy and smiling and crawling and giggling and everything else a baby should be doing. Just because she isn’t a little chubby thing means she is unhealthy?? So rude. It seriously annoys me. My side of the family is very tall but very thin. My SO’s side is just plain SMALL!! Short, thin and tiny. 🤷🏻♀️
Omg i feel ya, i get told that so many times about my daughter and im always like " im 4-11 my daughter is doing great and very healthy.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
TWW!!

Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
My youngest daughter is tiny too. People always have to comment on something
