@coysmommaa, Are you in the US? That’s the leading organization for OBGYNS in the US.
@ek620 must be different for different places cause i just had this talk with my doctor today.
@coysmommaa, The American College of Obstetricians and Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine changed the definition of full term a few years ago to 39 weeks. 37 weeks is now considered term, not full term.
@ek620 full term is actually 37weeks. I only know because I went in premature labor with my son at 26 weeks they got contractions to stop but kept coming back off and on finally at 37week my doctor said I was full term and they were done stopping my labor
Eat dates. At 36 and 37 weeks i was 4cm and 38 weeks 5cm on that Monday and had her on the weWednesday with only 3 hours of labor 😀. My first baby! She was easy too
My first doctor actually scared me by saying “PLEASE try to keep them in until about 38-39 weeks but we will see what happens” with this weird face. I ended up switching to a different doctor and hospital because I didn’t like the vibes of the other. Like I know I’m sick and losing weight and all but I’m trying to do everything to keep my baby healthy even if I look and feel like poo. I’m not one of those to want to drink oil or whatever to get the baby out. When even my husband mentioned that to me I felt weird about it. Like I know it’s going to be painful but 🤷🏼♀️ it’s pregnancy and I got myself here lol
Sit back and enjoy the calm and quiet time. Take a nap, or a bath. Lung and brain development is still happening during the last few weeks of pregnancy.
@ek620, @amandamduval, oh gawd people were telling me at 36 weeks I could try to have him
Lots of walking, bouncing on a medicine ball and sex.
But I do advise waiting a little bit longer, I know it's hard but longer baby is in the more chance bub has to develop. Good luck
@coysmommaa, I’m not trying to argue. Just passing along info from the leading organization of OBGYNs in the US.
