So 2 weeks ago I took my son to get his cake smash photos. I got them back on Sunday and to say the least I was extremely dissatisfied how they came out. I feel like they look sloppy and the only editing he did to them was lighten them up. I paid $180 and that day he was not only an hour late to the photo shoot but he only wanted to take pics of him from afar while he lay on the ground he didn’t get no close ups of Liam. I told him how i felt and the only think he offered me was to try to re edit them. I told him I felt the quality of the pictures wasn’t even there to try to re edit them and he never replied back. Now I have no good pics of my sons cake smash and I lost money.
@melxoxo, wow! Some professional he is! I’m sorry this happened hopefully the new person is better
@noahs.mommy, I already tried emailing him about it and he never replied. He only said well I’m sorry when we talked about it on the phone but he sounded like he honestly wanted to laugh. I even told him since he didn’t want to reshoot I’m paying another photographer to take the pics all over again
@noahs.mommy, that’s what I was mad about because we could of literally just taken the photos ourselves with our own phones if we wanted them to look like that. I wanted professional pictures of him smashing his cake and close ups you know. But only like 3 of the ones he took look good but for $180 again we could of token them ourselves
@melxoxo, the 3rd one is really not bad but the props need to be closer together and taken up close like said above. I mean those are good pictures...but for someone like me who would have taken them in portrait mode on my iPhone. Not good pictures from a “professional” I do have to say again though the 3rd one is cute.
@mrs.letty.luna, thank you so much for being so kind! But we actually got another photographer to take pics of him this Friday. I just honestly hated how the pictures were taken.
@shayybear, believe me I thought about it but I would of settled with an honest apology even giving me half of my money back it would of been all fine. But the fact that as a photographer you thought those pictures were okay to give to a client says a lot about you as a person. I could easily post the pics on my ig and say how I feel and hurt his business cause many of my friends use him but that’s not the type of person I am.
@shayybear, no he’s self employed. I chose him because he has done really good work but if feel like he was taking so many clients he got sloppy for my sons shoot and didn’t really care as much. When I told him how unhappy I was he only said “well sorry” and didn’t offer a reshoot or anything.
@melxoxo that's the worst. Does he work for a company or is he self employed.
@shayybear, I agree. I feel like the cake smash pics should of been close ups and the location they chose to set up wasn’t the best considering the people in the background he gave me most pics with people in the background
If hes not willing to give you money back or redo the shoot or a future shoot I would give an honest review on Facebook, Google, and whatever other platforms he advertises on. Explain him being an hour late, the fact that he wouldn't get up close and maybe something on his end will change
