Well it happened my sons doctor sent out the referral, so he can get evaluated and begin physical…

My daughter was behind too... Early Intervention was seriously the best thing I could have ever done for her.

All of her therapists have become like family and I'm honestly sad that we won't see them anymore when my daughter turns 3 in August.

It's a lot for me at the moment to take in. Some family is telling me hes fine hes just lazy, my bf mom has been at my ear with he should be already doing this and that. Since he was 6 months old. I'm just trying to take it all on and not feel guilty! If you dont mind me asking what was your daughter struggling with? My son cant crawl, he cant stand on his own, not stand holding on to things. He sits but for short period of time no longer then 3 to 5 mins then he falls over. He can rollover,rock back and forth on his hands and knees, walk in his Walker, jump. He bares his weight. But again!! Hes so behind it's starting to scare me. @laywatz

@laywatz I'm so happy you baby got the help she needed and soon will be done with her physical therapy journey. I'm so happy for her, shes lucky to have you. I know as a mom knowing your children need intervention to help them progress is hard!! Not only did she do it, but you also did it mama

My daughter was 18 months when I contacted EI. At that point she wasn't talking, had horrible eye contact, didn't want to put weight on her feet and had only just started to crawl.

Her pediatrician told me that she was "fine" and that her problems were probably stemming from her hip dysplasia (She had surgery at 7 months to correct it and was in a spica cast and then a brace for almost 7 months)

I ended up contacting EI myself. They came out and evaluated her and then assigned a DT (developmental therapist) a PT (physical therapist) and an OT (occupational therapist)

With their help in teaching me how to help my daughter she has made great progress.

Have you tried not using his walker

I'm so glad you trusted your mom instincts and went and found help for your baby. Something pediatrician dont kniq what's best, no one knows our babies more then we do. Happy to know she made great progress and thank you for commenting on my post, you gave me a piece of mind. I still cried but it's just a hard thing you accept that he needs that xtra help. So again thank you

@queeniefitmama he uses his Walker he just recently started actually moving in it. But hes still behind, he cant sit up for a long period of time, cant crawl, cant stand with out wobbling. He tries but he gets so mad becau as he cant do it. He cant pull himself up nor hold on to the couch of anything while standing.

@lezlie527, that’s why I’m suggesting you not put him in his walker. I would just keep him on the floor with a bunch of toys / push toys and have a field day. Everyday lol

@queeniefitmama it's hard doing that, he will scream his head off. I have been putting him on the floor more often, he will be there 2mins the most 5. Hes over it, I been letting him cry!! But I hate it so much.
