If you got a sweep how dilated were you when it happened and did you go into labor shortly after?
I had a sweep at 39, my boy wasn't ready, which lead to hours of labor at home hours of labor in the hospital w/ no changes, which lead to enducing, which lead to failed eipidural, which then lead to more pain meds, 2 days later w/ no food in my stomach, no sleep, no control over my desicions any longer about my labor. Which lead to marconum when son finally was born on top of unwanted and non permissive episiotomy. I will never let a doc push any kind of enducing on me ever again. So 36hours of active labor. Nope nope nope.
I had it done with my daughter at 38 weeks 1cm dialated and my water broke that night while out to dinner with my husband
@dmomma, yes every day and I was at a 2 when we started Monday and by Friday I was only at a 3
I had it done at 38 weeks and was at a 1 and then again at 39 weeks and I was then at a 3 and went into labor 2 days after.
I was not even at a full one when I had it done at 39 weeks, went to be induced that night because of colestasis but ended up not needed intervention. After the sweep, my body was just ready. That was my last pregnancy. With my first I got it done and went into labor five hours later.
I had a sweep done every day for a week and nothing happened. Ended up being induced the following week.
@amyrachellem, do you really think a sweep caused all of that misery? I mean I’m sorry that happened to you but idk if that’s the root cause of that.
