Is it necessary or really important to meet with a pediatrician prior to selecting them for your newborn? If so, what sort of questions do you ask? I'm a FTM so I'm clueless on all of this. I've selected an office and the office advertises that new parents can set up to meet the doctor and etc but my work is hectic and so is my husband's and we are trying to save our leave time so I'm just trying to figure out if it's really needed
I agree that you don't need to of you aren't picky about something in particular. You can always change docs if you feel its a poor fit.
I don't even use a pediatrician. My LO has seen the same family practice doctor as me since LO was born. I love it because I love my doc and he gets a sense for our family history by seeing us both. Future children will also see the same doc, and since he's not a ped, they won't age out.
I didn't. It really matters if you have specific ideas for what you want in a pedatrician. Do you want someone who's knowledgeable and supportive of breastfeeding, baby led weaning, co-sleeping, ect. If you really don't have your heart set on any one way of doing things then it's probably okay. Like, I didn't circumcise my son so I needed to make sure his doctor knew intact care. So if I wanted to I could have met with the doctor beforehand to discuss it. But I don't think it's a must do.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.

My sweet baby girl gained her angel wings this morning. She was my best friend, my true love my everything. She was so happy and beautiful, I'm struggling to say good bye. Sleep tight princess, mummy and daddy love you very very much ❤️
Thanks ladies! Wanted to make sure it didnt make me some sort of neglectful mother if I didnt set aside the time to go interview first lol. I just dont know when we will have time or if they will even have availability. I still may try to do it but I'm not going to stress it if I cant. My boss and my boss's boss all use the same office that I'm looking at using they just use different docs there. But they both recommend that office highly so I'm sure itll be fine! And I work in child services so I value their opinion for sure!
