With my c section exactly 2 weeks away, I can't help but sit and worry about losing all this weight I have gained 😶 I was 210 when I got pregnant with my daughter, 240 when I delivered her, & continued to gain weight because of hormonal imbalances and other health issues (was seeing an endocrinologist to try to figure it out when I became pregnant this time around) anyhow, now I weigh 315 lbs and I don't know how the hell I'm gonna get it off. The endo was in the process of diagnosing me with PCOS but when I became pregnant she said she wouldn't see me until after I have the baby. I was working out for 2 hours a day everyday and was still gaining. Any advice from anywhere would be appreciated.
@wheelercharle4 alright her website link is ссылка and I scanned the book I have here - it's selling for $9.81 on Amazon but $14.95 on Robyn Openshaw's website... So I'd definitely go Amazon. And the "Never Be Sick Again" book by Raymond Francis et al., Is for sale on Amazon for $8!
@scared_shtless I am totally open to trying anything! Lol. I have to get myself back to normal (not even skinny, just normal). Do you buy her book from the website? Or order it from Amazon or something like that?
@wheelercharle4 girl I was chatting with my mom about you (she's a nutrition and health FANATIC) and she suggested greensmoothiegirl.com or her book "Green Smoothies Diet" (Robyn Openshaw) for lots of all natural and very healthy recipes - which could include herbal remedies and detoxes and things to help with inflammation (I say could because I haven't looked at it myself - though her book is sitting on my coffee table) and another book called "Never Be Sick Again" (Raymond Francis, M.Sc. with Kester Cotton) which has a looooot of good information on many illnesses, issues, and things that corrupt your homeostasis to help people be healthy again (for the rest of their lives!)
Not sure how you'd feel about it but I think it's worth a try and a fairly inexpensive try at that! Let me know what you think :)
@kfugate720 I thought I was doing well this pregnancy and then the last trimester hit and I realized that I do not have myself under control at all 😂 I will get it back together if it kills me though! Even if I do have to go to the weight loss clinics where they say you can't eat anything but vegetables and broth like the patients on my 600 lb life (this is an absolute last resort that I DO NOT wish to encounter though lol)
@scared_shtless I am definitely gonna have to look into that, I drink licorice root tea like no ones business, it'd be great if I could find herbal help because it is so much more my style that taking 50 medicines (or any medicines really) a day.
Also just read something about green tea vs. coffee because it increases the sex hormone that attaches to testosterone (something like that) and flax seed, licorice, and some other herbs. I googled "high testosterone not pcos" and found some interesting information on herbal hormonal therapy
I weighed about 150 when I got pregnant with my now 2 year old and got up to 190-something by the time I had her. I went down to about 170 then got pregnant again and got up to almost 240!!!! I let myself go during my last pregnancy lmfao. I’m almost 2 months pp and I’m back down to 190. Trying to work out when I can and mostly eating at home and in smaller portions. It’s hard to lose the rest of this weight though. I’m so tired all the time and I love food lmfao 😂 I am my own worst enemy when it comes to weight loss!
@wheelercharle4 or, even, when you're done breastfeeding (if that's your plan) ask about Adderall for weight loss... Adderall is *not* normally prescribed for anything outside of ADD and narcolepsy because of its effect on the body (and brain) however almost everyone that's ever taken it loses weight quickly without even noticing how small their appetite has gotten. Doctors do sparingly prescribe Adderall sometimes for weight loss solutions but I would *highly recommend* only using it as a kick start and *not* a long-term solution, because with all amphetamines it does have the potential to create dependency and over a long period of time could set you back in terms of metabolism.
@alyboo102293 I am totally against all bc except the pill, but I can't ever remember to take the pill at the same time everyday so I just don't even try 😂
@scared_shtless Yeah, at one point they had me on a diabetes medicine that is supposed to level out testosterone and estrogen but since I'm just under the level of it being a diagnosable problem they don't seem to want to do much else. & both of my children were conceived while on that medicine, which coincidentally is what they try first to help polycystic women ovulate and conceive lol. It's like fighting a circle saw when you have Medicaid in my area to even see a doctor, much less get them to actually help you when you do get in.
@wheelercharle4 that certainly sounds like one of the two - I'm definitely not educated in medicine but have you asked about female hormones/steroid shots or supplements??
@wheelercharle4, yes the depo is literally the devil I gained 40 on it then went back on it for 3 months after my youngest and gained another 40 😡 I’m all against bc now sadly because I attribute most my weight gain to bc.
@alyboo102293 I am 100% sure the depo is what started this weight battle- I had never weighed more than 170 before I took the depo. I was only on it for 6 months and gained 40 lbs.
@scared_shtless I have and they continue to tell me it is functioning normally. But it's just like with the whole pcos diagnosis, you testosterone had to be at a certain level for them to diagnose with it but mine is 0.1 mcg below that level yet I grow a full face of facial hair 😑 I can't help but wonder if my thyroid situation is similar.
@wheelercharle4, that’s what I’m afraid of and I know I can’t keep the weight off forever 😭, I already hate my body before I had my second I weighed 145 & after her I went on birth control and messed myself all up
@alyboo102293 I hadn't gained any in this pregnancy (except like 5 lb fluctuations) until I hit 27 weeks but then I started packing it on and have gained a good 20-25 lbs since. I feel so fat and ugly.
I’m in the same boat started off at 250 & luckily I haven’t gained any yet but I only know it’s gonna get worse and worse I’m dreading it , I gained 60 pounds with my last started at 200 finished at 260 lost all the weight then gained it back 😩😭. I’m taking notes.
I also was able to lose 30 pounds in the 1st 6 weeks after having my daughter just breastfeeding. Besides breastfeeding I would recommend a low carb diet and just stay active and I bet it'll fall off quick
When I was nursing my youngest (3 now) I had cut calories to about 1500 a day and exercised about an hour a day. Most of my calories were vegetables and lean protein with a few good carbs mixed in. I would allow myself a “treat” day once a week where I would eat a few extra calories(a couple hundred maybe) so I didn’t feel deprived and resentful of the diet.
A teacher I worked with made the switch from vegetarian to vegan and lost 20 pounds in a few weeks. Her body wouldn’t handle/tolerate animal products, she felt more energized, and she was more aware of what was going into her body.
Keto is a great diet to kick start weightloss.
@jessegonzalez236 is juicing safe while breastfeeding? I had thought about doing a breastfeeding safe detox and then juicing, but hadn't been able to decide if that was a wise decision.
@kayla187 i had gone totally gluten free and was eating 1,500 calories a day (which obviously I quit when I got pregnant and shouldn't have lol) but I still wasn't losing anything at all. I'm just gonna have to double, maybe even triple my efforts when I get started back up.
You can loose weight really fast with just juicing look up recipes on YouTube u can loose 15lbs a week it's healthy too cause all you consume is fruits and veggies
@kayla187 i would be okay if id quit gaining but i have gotten huge 105 lbs gained over 2 1/2 years is awful!
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Weight Gain
What week are you and how much weight have you gained so far?
How much have you ladies gained so far ?? I've gained 64lbs 😳 my husband makes me feel shitty when I indulge by reminding me how hard it's gonna be to lose the weight once baby comes. I don't know if it hurts my feelings or pisses me off but my dr doesn't seem to be concerned about all this weight I've gained I started at 106lb so I was small to begin with. Talk about stressful

I am only on my 2nd trimester and I gained so much weight! 😭 Can you mommas tell me what’s like a normal weight gain to be expected, please.
It's crazy when I see people say they didn't gain any weight on the Depo shot and when I was on it, I gained so much 😞
@scared_shtless cool I'm gonna order them tomorrow. I am down to 11 days and I will no longer be pregnant 🎉🎉🎉😂
