My 2 week old Baby only falls asleep when held any advise on how to get this to stop?

Will he/she sleep when you put them down?

@cori.severs, no just when held and then she’ll wake up when I put her down

@cristinaramirez15 That's hard. Have you tried swaddling her really tight so she feels like she's being held?

@cori.severs, Yes I have but it doesn’t seam to work the only other way she’ll fall asleep is when she’s on the Bobby pillow but it says not to put them on their when they are sleeping I’m beyond exhausted

Just keep pushing whatever he sleeps in . My son did this for the first week he came home but I always just kept pushing the bassinet and putting him in it . Do you swaddle the baby? If so maybe you’re not doing it tight enough? They have like swaddles that you can zip or velcro and it keeps it tight ! I just pushes the issue with my son and now he puts himself to sleep . Has been doing it since about 3 weeks old

It’s kinda hard to say, there so used to the mothers warmth, try swaddling really tight, put some smell of you inside the swaddle like a handkerchief (not perfume just your scent) walk around with it inside your bra for a couple hours and place it in there , when that happens baby senses that there being held ..

I would put her down wherever her intended bed is at random points through out the day and walk away, let her get comfortable with it. Then lay her down for an extended period of time (after being fed, changed, burped) - at this early in life she shouldn’t be able to go too long with out sleeping. I did this with my second son & it has worked so well. Sometimes he would cry a little bit before falling asleep but it wasn’t long at all.
