Can anyone else who’s been induced give me some advice please? I’m trying to work something out for my birth plan but…

@kerryy23, yeah I was only 3cm last time when they broke my waters so maybe that’s why they put me on the drip straight away 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m hoping this time I can have my waters broke then go in the pool xx

@ezchaz sounds as though you were induced, maybe as your contractions weren't regulating, that's the same issue I had.

@courtniek98x I'm sure if you're induced via the drip you cant get in the pool but with the pessary you can, so hopefully if you're induced the pessary will do it's job and you won't need the drip xx

They broke my waters with Oscar at 38+4 and they gave me two hours to start contracting ect but nothing happened so they put me on drip and I wasn't allowed a water birth I did ask but they said no xx

@ezchaz how long had your waters gone before they put you on the drip? X

@ezchaz, I’m not sure hun. I had 2 pessaries then they broke my waters then put me straight on the drip xxx

I was induced with Kylan, had th pessary induction after my waters went the previous day. I didn't opt for a pool birth but was allowed in the bath as many times as I wanted with the pessary still in. So I don't see why the pool would be any different x

@carlybeanw, I had to have it straight away last time hun but do you think they’ll let me go in the pool after the pessaries and breaking my waters?xx

You don't have to have the drop for at least 24 hours, after that they will want to use it as there's th risk of infection etc so they'll want to get contractions going x

@andrewsmom04, I’m opting for induction because of what happened with my other pregnancies the doctors don’t think I should go to full term with this baby but I down right refuse to have a section unless it’s a complete emergency xxx

It really is horrible and I hope to god I just go into labour on my own and not need induced fingers crossed for you hun xx

@andrewsmom04, it’s horrible isn’t it! So traumatic and I don’t wanna go through that again if I can do things without medical help (fingers crossed!)x

@courtniek98x I was induced because I was overdue with Andrew and that ended in an emergency section so if I get induced again this time I'm hoping not to go on the drip and try and do things as natural as I can so it's less stress on the baby so I totally understand where your coming from x

@andrewsmom04, i don’t know wether it was because I was induced at 37 weeks because of her movements that they wanted to get her out ASAP but I ended up with emergency forceps after and I want to be able to have a vaginal birth without medical help this time that’s all and I’d love to go in the pool after my waters are broke xxx

@courtniek98x Well I was told with Andrew that I didn't nessisarly have to go on the drip once they break your waters you can choose to see if your contractions start naturally and if they do then I can't see why u wouldn't be able to use the pool hun xx

@andrewsmom04, I was induced with harper at 37 weeks but they put me straight on the drip after breaking my waters. I’m opting for induction with this baby but after my waters are broke I just wanted to know if I can use the pool see if my contractions come naturally instead of going straight on the drip but not sure if I can or not x
