Does anyone have kids (mine is ten) he has a phone he uses on WiFi only when he goes to his dads and grandparents. I am looking for a free kid friendly texting app for him to use. He has a textnow app but keeps getting spam msgs some highly inappropriate. Bless his heart he don’t check them if he don’t know the number but I like to communicate directly with him when he’s not here. Ideas?

@veemitchell, he doesn’t get inappropriate ads he gets texts from people he don’t know. Spam messages trying to get him to go to their site. The ads aren’t much of an issue. He knows not to follow ads. I just don’t want him getting spammed. That’s why I was looking for a kid friendly app
@lele84 most apps have ads, what ads you see are based on your internet history so say I spend time on websites about food, my ads are gonna be about food. If there's inappropriate ads, he's probably been on sites like that. The ads they show are based on your own activity

Does anyone else’s husband or significant other use the whisper app. The other day his phone buzzed and said that he had a new private message on the app. I told him about it and he said that the app wasn’t even installed on his phone. I don’t go through his phone or anything and I want to trust him but right now he’s making himself seem suspicious because his phone was turned just far enough to where I could see it and since I use it to read everything on it I know what the messages look like. ...

Not sure if I'm being just mean or what. But my SO used $160 from me this morning. I gave him my bank card because he needed $60 to get material for work. My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk out...
