I only used a manual with my daughter and that worked fine for me but this time around I did get an electric one through insurance because with a toddler and a newborn i doubt I'll have free hands to manually pump lol

If you are pumping more than just one bottle every once in a great while (some stay at home moms do this just for a dinner out) then you need an electric. Check with your insurance- they most likely cover one. If not and you receive aid, check your WIC office- they might be able to help. Hand pumps are great for clogged ducts though- I had a few painful ones- I did the manual into the bath and worked it out. The hospital gave me one when I gave birth I was having trouble breastfeeding.

Electric. Using a manual pump isn’t fun & takes forever.
