My hubby is a trucker. Gone a week to 2 weeks at a time.
My daddy was a trucker. Being a truckers daughter was hard too.
@lilmissmommyandme16, Ohhh so he doesn’t work for a company so he owns his own truck and stuff ?
@its.sarah, he can but then he wouldn’t be making as much. We have a 1 1/2 year old and one due in November and so we really need the money. Plus to work for a company means he could miss my labor.
@lilmissmommyandme16, wowwww 6 years! He must be making bank 😂😂 I heard it’s a struggle in the first year. Can’t he get a trucking job that he’s home everyday? That’s what my husband is goin to look for but most companies want at least a year of driving experience over the road before you can be home daily
@its.sarah, he’s been trucking since he was 20 stopped for 8 months and is trucking again for almost 6 years but we have only been together for almost 3.
@lilmissmommyandme16, how long has he been a driver? My husband will hit a year in September
@its.sarah, 6 days out of 7. Unless I have a doctors appointment then he comes home for that day as well. He stopped trucking but then things got rough so he started trucking again.
@lilmissmommyandme16, lol same. How long is your husband gone for? It was the worst at first when my husband was gone for weeks at a time 😭 I can’t wait till he can get a job where he can be home everyday
@its.sarah, I feel ya. And I see all these woman complaining that they have to parent alone from like 9am until 5pm and I’m like what I would give to have that.
@lilmissmommyandme16, story of my life! Mine is gone 5-6 days a week. The two days I get with him isn’t enough it goes by so fast
@its.sarah, like I love my husband so freaking much but when he’s gone I just feel so lonely.
