How old does my daughter have to be before I can put her in a toddler bed?

i put my oldest in one at 2 but its whats comfortable with u

I don't think there's an exact age, just more of a developmental thing. Like, I wouldn't have put him in at 1 because there was no way he'd understand that he had to stay there, and he didn't have the body control or understanding of invisible boundaries that he'd need to not fall out all the time, even with a guardrail.

Now he's trying to climb out so as soon as we find the wall mounts for his other furniture he's getting a toddler bed. (We moved and I have no idea where the mounts went.)

I didn't go by age. I went by if she could climb out on her own without hurting herself

@adri8192, @nomli, @girlmom., thanks ladies I wanna start looking at beds for her since she’s getting a bigger room gonna put the new baby in her room and she’s gonna be in the spare room.

I’m going to start making the transition starting this weekend. I’ve thought about a floor bed so she doesn’t fall but my husband and I will talk more about it. Were kinda in the same position my daughter is one and I’m 23 weeks pregnant

@rebelprincesz24, I’ve done some research and if they’re good sleepers now it might be easier to transfer while they’re this young cause they don’t do the whole “i need a glass of water” act :p

She’s a very good sleeper honestly she barely ever wakes up at night. Been like that since she was about 3 months old
