Help mama's! My daughter has been rolling from front to back and back to front for a couple weeks now. When she rolls onto her belly she cries and cries till I turn her back over. Now in her crib the past few nights she rolls over onto her belly and I rolled her over about 40 times no exaggerating! The last time she put her face down almost flat on the matress and just about fell asleep but I'm not sure if she's old enough to realize if it's hard to breath to move her head. So now I'm so nervous about her rolling over in her crib at night. Any suggestions?

@ haha yes men and their daughter's! They are all so soft now. Mine goes into her room and 4ubs her head and kisses her like 20 times a night haha. Well he turned her over before I could turn her head and then she went back to sleep. But she cries every time she's on her belly so I don't think she likes it at all

@chadandtanya14 lol they're so funny. Mine still runs up and down the stairs at night to cover her up and give her a cuddle if she's taking forever to fall asleep. I'm like you know she does it so you go up right? Lol. He's a softie. When she was tiny he couldn't handle her crying at all.

I can't remember, but will your daughter go back to sleep if you turn her head for her? Or she just doesn't want to be on her belly?

@megand15 omg that's hillarious! I feel at times that he's so beyond worried and I'm like meh she will be fine just leave her. Then he's all like "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU! 😲 hahaha men is right!

@chadandtanya14 LOL! Men get funny ideas. When my 2yo was having a fit, hubby asked if we could get a water bottle and squirt her like a cat. I said um no!? Hopefully your girl will figure it out soon!

@megand15 so last night she kept rolling again and tried to sleep face down. Turned like a hair where her nose was just off the mattress but barley and she stayed like that. My husband was so distraught over it that he couldn't leave her like that and rolled her back over. It's weird that she knows how to roll onto her back as well as her front but she won't roll back to her back and will just cry and cry and even lays face down freaking out. It's such a scary feeling! Hubby was thinking of like a car seat seatbelt for the crib to keep her on her back lmao

@megand15 ya that's just what we do eh. She's been sleeping in her crib since she was 3 weeks old and rolling for about a month now and then rolling on her belly in her crib only for the past 2 days. Im also not quite sure why she cries every time she rolls on her belly. I'll play inspector gadget tonight when she goes down for bed and see. She was up at 4am and usually passes back out with a bottle but again she kept rolling over. Took me 45 minutes to get her back to sleep

@chadandtanya14 definitely! When mine started sleeping in her bed I was constantly checking her. Staring at her ribs with my face 3 inches away. She's 2.5 and I still worry too much

@megand15 lol aren't they! Such a little monkey. But it is a scary thing for sure. She was about to fall asleep face down and instantly I flipped her back over and the process began again lol. I'll sit and watch her tonight and see. Just the worst fear ever is sids right

@megand15 she sleeps on her side by herself most nights but this rolling thing in her crib just started. I have receiving blankets rolled at the sides of her but she pulls them out or rolls over them lol

Mine was doing that at 4 months. I watched her and she did move her head to the side. I also started rolling up receiving blankets and putting one along her back and one along her belly, so she couldn't roll. She ended up really loving sleeping on her side. After a few weeks I stopped putting them there and she stayed sleeping on her side

@sorcha thank you for saying that! It's a scary thing to watch her face down like that. And she just cries and cries when she's on her belly. But I turned her over every 2 minutes for about an hour last night

I'd watch her and see if she moves on her own. My son is a belly sleeper. He was trying to roll over weeks after his birth. He sleeps better that way. Once they can roll over and back on their own our doctor suggested we watch him to see if he would adjust his head when he was face first. Sure enough he did and always does. So we always lay him on his back and if he flips we leave him.

Safe sleeping in crib? I’m scared to death she’s gonna roll over and not be able to breathe if she puts her face down. Last night she ended up rolling on her stomach with her head to the side so she could still breathe. Do I turn her over each time she does this or what should I do? This is honestly causing me anxiety because what if I’m asleep and she does this and cant roll her head back over?? most people are saying as long as she has started rolling over she should be able to roll back? What if she can’t though? With my son he was in a pack n play..
