My father (who i’ve never had a good relationship with) texted me saying “are you going to see me on father’s day” and I pretty much said no because now it’s about Tim and it’s going to be his first father’s day. and he’s literally giving me a hard time. I never spend father’s day with him ever. and now I have my own family and he’s seriously not ok with that. I can not deal

Ugh. My dad would tell me to enjoy the day with my husband and to see him any other time because we can make any day special. Ignore his drama. See him another day if you want to, but don't let people guilt you for having family holidays with just your family. There are always so many expectations for dragging kids around on holidays. I just say no!
