What would you ladies recommend for a speedy recovery for a c-section??
I’m not even 2 days post op.. and honestly just getting up and walking to the bathroom and get snacks myself is such a big accomplishment lol. Don’t lift anything, take your medicine, walk and rest.. that’s basically all I’m doing! Good luck mamas
@inkedsouthernbelle, Some people require staples that’s why they are still used for some in csections. I see at least 2-3 women a week at work who need staples, and it’s considered a last resort (larger women generally require the staples) It’s not about being behind on the times, it’s to ensure the incision remains closed. Glue is also not an option for everyone it depends on how your surgery went, consistency of your skin and fat ratio. Doctors are not Neanderthals for using staples, you’re just not aware of why they’re used or the situations that warrant them. My best suggestion hun is to get up and get moving, but I’m sure you already are 48 hours post! Try not to over do it and keep your incision clean 🙂
Definitely walk around as much as possible and as soon as possible, Use the belly band religiously and invest in some good scar cream. It works. Oh and make sure your doctor is good enough to now use glue and not staples like a damn Neanderthal lol. That’s what I love about my doctor. He’s older but changes with the times and is the most up to date on procedures and quickest healing methods aka glue
@beakymcspence, I know my doctor doesn’t use staples on anyone anymore and if glue isn’t an option on the entire incision he puts stitches in the corner and they’re dissolvable but he told me himself staples aren’t necessary if done right and he’s the best surgeon in northeast Louisiana so I guess it’s about location and your available to a good doctor who knows what he or she is doing. Mine definitely does and like I said is award winning for his incisions and people come from all over the tristate area just to use him.
