Same here, it’s mostly family that sits there and drills as well, it’s like, why can’t you just be happy for me and get on with Life!

Ugh, I've gotten that shhht before from my Mil especially and I'm like, first off I don't need to explain s*** to you but who would you rather me leave my son with? you? I left her with him for about 20 minutes to walk to the corner bus stop to help my husband with the groceries in the stroller and when we came back she was falling asleep and the only reason why she woke up was cuz she had the door open 🤦🤦 I was so angry😡never again will I ever let her watch him nor my newborn

@mortonmining, yes exactly. Time will tell, but for the most part I don’t want to start school until my daughter does. My bills are handled by my boyfriend, we’re not financially pressed. So why not take advantage of the fact I don’t need child care services?

Same here. I have a daughter who just turned 2 years old I'm still staying home with her! ✊

And trust that you will NOT have lot of extra time on your hands. Ever. Lol

@mother.of.2, right people love to play mommy with your kid... but your available so why not be the mommy 😂 my dads like your step mom can watch her.. no I’ll take care of her, she can go to work 👋🏼

@brianamestichelli besides it's more expensive for day care than to just stay home. And seeing your baby grow up before your eyes is beautiful🙌🙌🙌💕

Omgosh! Exactly!! I finished my master's degree and then got pregnant, now everyone wants to know when I will start the licensure process (which in my state due to backlog will take 3.5 years), and I explain after my son is at least a year, and everyone is shocked, appalled even, that I am "making my husband work by himself" like we mutually decided we could afford it and rather me be the primary caregiver over his parents or a stranger. Ugh!

Lol, I think a lot of moms now days feel the same way, it’s our children we will raise them how we see fit! Plus I can’t wait to home school my son, I always wanted to be a teacher, mows my chance, 😅😅

Agreed! I hate when people bash moms who choose to stay home. It was insinuated earlier that I was lazy just for asking if I could get some work restrictions due to recent miscarriages

I'm a stay at home mom. It's the most rewarding job in the world & yet the most hardest job in the world. You never get a break! But I love it. I'm the happiest I've ever been ☺️

I’m a SAHM it’s definitely overwhelming sometimes but I love every min of it !! Family tells me all the time “well ur home all day u shouldn’t be tired” or “what have u done all day since the house isn’t clean” like I clean my house CONSTANTLY buuuuut when u have a 3 year old who is always going behind u making a mess I’m not gonna clean every 2seconds lol.... I’m grateful that my boyfriend has a job that allows me to stay home with our son ! The world is crazy these days I can’t leave my kids with anyone I’m too scared something will happen! So if that means I’ll be home for 4 years taking care of my son then so be it but I don’t see how it’s anyone else’s business if they not paying my bills 🤦🏽‍♀️

Pffff. Being a stay at home mom is by far the hardest, and most busy job ive ever had!! No down time or too much time on your hands that's for sure! Some days I don't even get to feed myself. So screw anyone who thinks you will just be sitting around twiddling your thumbs

I agree !!! I have two kids and haven’t worked yet. They are not ready and neither am I! When they are able to let me know who did what than we will be ready!!!

Lol what does “you’ll have a lot of time on your hands” even mean?! 😂 You’re definitely going to be so busy 24/7 with your baby girl! I know I am with my sweet boy. 🙈😅

I wish I could stay home with my baby for longer than 12 weeks. It’s a blessing to be able to be a SAHM. And what’s it to them anyway. Ugh, people need to mind their own business.

Agreed! I have a degree, 5 years of schooling, significant college debt, and a fantastic career but my husband and I have chosen for me to stay at home with our two boys (4,2 baby on the way) for the last year and a half. People are constantly giving me crap because I am home instead of using my degree🙄. I work randomly filling in for vacations and what not and let me tell you when I work it’s like a vacation day! I get an hour to eat lunch by myself! I can pee without someone coming in! I get to talk to adults rather than break up fights between my boys all day! Being a sahm is by far the hardest, most mentally draining, under appreciated, yet most rewarding job ever!

People need to learn to mind their own business

I do contracting work in the early mornings sometimes but overall a stay at home mom and go to school online full time and it's hard I won't lie but I do it and my kid will thank me later as he gets older. I build a bond with him and they say the first three years of a child's life is crucial because they are like sponges so I teach him everyday whether it be practicing his ABCs or learning new words or etc

I personally am going to be a stay home mom. My entire pregnancy I wanted to work and my baby's father didn't want me to because he didn't want me to hurt myself on the job or stress out. As for as school, I put a hold on my degree for my daughter. Yes some say that's dumb, but you go through alot in your pregnancy through emotions and symptoms. I plan on breastfeeding and I don't plan on pumping 24/7 just because I either have to go to work or school. I agreed once my daughter is of age I do wanna finish my degree. Nobody should be put down base on if we choose to stay home or not. Everyone has a choices. Its life. There are things you do have to give up as parent sometimes. An for those people that say "oh why wouldn't you wanna work or go to school. Or don't you want your independence or say well your child gonna be stupid because you didn't finish school or who to say your baby's father leaves what you gonna do then" ill say this (SHUT THE HELL UP BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT! EVERY MOTHER HAS A RIGHT TO THEIR CHOICES FOR HER FUTURE AND CHILD! SORRY WE NOT PICTURE PERFECT FOR YOU GUYS! )✌😘
