@casanovaivette2711, doctors around here recommended cleaning with rubbing alcohol & keeping it dry.

@casanovaivette2711, yeah I swear the rubbing alcohol always helps dry it out with my kiddos .

There's no instructions with kids... Research changes all the time... My oldest is almost 13 and between the time I had him- to the time I had my daughter (who's almost 2) research has flipped back and forth... Books are just for advice and tips... I'm old school- I listen to my elders and I do whatever I feel comfortable doing... My son- I was told to give him cereal in a bottle, then that changed too... One year they say "lay a baby on its back" next youear they say "the stomach" and so on... There's no rule's- you just do whatever you feel is best- no wrong or right way 😉

That’s not entirely true. Some things are preferences but safety is not one of them. As research improves, so do safety recommendations. That’s not just with childcare, that’s with everything. If you’re having a baby, part of your responsibility is to get yourself up to date with current safety recommendations so your baby can be as safe & healthy as possible. Ignoring advice that has scientific and medical research behind it is irresponsible. There ARE “rules,” certain things are very black & white- little to no room for people to just do things their own way. Not everything but with some topics, there are def rules.
